About Me

Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Kristin. I began this blog a couple years ago and it was primarily about my Fibromyalgia experiences. However, a lot has changed during that span of time, so I will now be posting about all the chronic illnesses I face, of which there are three (unfortunately): Fibromyalgia, Major Depressive Disorder, and Panic Disorder.

A little about me – I’m 31 years old and I live in Milford, CT with my husband, Jim and our cat, Ivy. I’m a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, but I enjoy baseball as a whole. Music is my other passion. I love mostly every genre and I like going to concerts when I can. I always have the TV on– some of my favorite shows are Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, and Friends, as well as everything on the MLB Network and Investigation Discovery channels.

I feel very strongly about creating support and awareness for people with chronic illness. I have an online support group on Facebook called Fibro Fighters Under 40 that I made for those like me who are on the younger side. It is a wonderful group of over 1,000 members who are incredibly supportive, funny, and caring. We have truly become a Fibro Family. It is a safe place with no judgment or drama and that makes me even more proud of this group. Anyone under 40/early 40’s are welcome, so please join us!

I’ve also become the director of the Teen and Young Adult program for the new non-profit organization, International Support Fibromyalgia Network. We want to create more awareness, events, and bring the entire Fibromyalgia community together to share information, research and of course support each other. I am very excited to be a part of it!
