I had a great night out with my girls last night at the Miranda Lambert concert. We were SO close to the stage and it was nice to have fun for once. Can’t remember the last time I had fun. Seriously. It was a great escape from reality, singing along to every song, taking silly pictures with my friends, etc. But as I said in my post earlier this week, it’s a tough outing for me physically, and now I’m paying the price. I brought my pain medication with me “just in case”, and I did end up taking a pill during the opening act. I wouldn’t have lasted otherwise.
The car ride, walking, steps, and overall excessive movement are the reasons why my pain is so bad today. It was to be expected of course, but it sucks that with one night of fun comes a full day (or more) of severe pain. Yes, it’s my own fault, but I want to live my life.
That’s all for now. I need some more sleep. Thanks for reading.
Song of the day: James Taylor – You’ve Got a Friend. “Hey, ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend? People can be so cold. They’ll hurt you and desert you. Well, they’ll take your soul if you let them, oh yeah, but don’t you let them.”
